(Partially) New Apartment

My apartment had an older back sliding door. It was starting to let a lot of cold air in my apartment and I couldn’t take it anymore! I put in a maintenance request with the Department of Housing here in University Village (UV) which is through the Department of Housing on campus. After a few weeks of waiting they started working on my new door!

This is one of the reasons why I enjoy living in the UV apartments. Maintenance requests are often answered in a very reasonable time depending on the severity of the request.

The first day they started the back of my house looked like this when I arrived home.

A few hours later they had the door in and just needed to wait until the next day to do some painting and finish up.

The next day they came and finished everything and now my door looks like this!

And the inside….

I’m very happy with the new door and I’m sure my heat bill is too. I keep saying I have “part” of a new apartment now
