How was your orientation? Good? Bad? Don’t worry!
Hey people! 🙂
I’m back on that blogging grind! Summertime has me pretty booked, but I’m back and better than ever!
So, summertime is when heading off to college finally starts to seem real. Especially when you have your orientation. It hits you! And you should be excited! You probably came to orientation super excited and maybe a little nervous. Did you meet a ton of new friends? Did your adviser meeting and class schedule work out perfectly? Do you already know the campus like the back of your hand? If you do, that’s great. Good for you! But if your orientation was less than stellar, don’t fret! It will be okay I promise.
My orientation wasn’t exactly what I had hoped for. I came with my whole schedule already planned out, I had looked at the campus map for hours, and expected to meet a ton of new friends. It didn’t exactly work out that way. I got on campus and had no idea where anything was! I didn’t get the schedule I had hoped to get! And I didn’t meet my new best friend! I went home feeling something like this:
Maybe your experience was similar? Maybe it was the exact opposite? Oh well! Either way, you will be okay! My adviser helped me create a schedule that I enjoyed, I learned how to navigate my way around campus in the first couple of weeks of school, and I made a ton of friends right off the bat in the fall! So, don’t fret if your orientation experience wasn’t exactly what you had hoped for! Things will work out for you.
Keep calm and rock on, friends.
