Things to be Thankful for at Iowa State
Since Thanksgiving is upon us, I thought it would be appropriate to think of just a couple things that us Iowa Staters are thankful for.
- Central Campus
No one can deny the beauty that comes with the changing colors during the fall months, the first snowfall, or the blossoming flowers in spring. There is always something to be in awe over on campus.
- CyRide (especially in the winter)
Who wants to walk outside in the snow when CyRide will take you where you need to be? We especially appreciate it when the weather is subpar, but it is a handy resource available to students at all times of the year.
- THE Albino Squirrel
When you just need something to put a smile on your face, the albino squirrel usually does the trick. Plus, we all consider him good luck, so why wouldn’t we be thankful for him??
- $1 coffee Monday
Anything that we can score for $1 is a plus. The fact that it’s coffee is an added bonus.
- Being a Cyclone
Overall, there is so much to be thankful for here at Iowa State. From academics to athletics to arts, we are very lucky with all the opportunities that are available to us. Though we may all come from different places and have different paths in life, there is one thing we all have in common: Once a Cyclone, always a Cyclone!
