How to Own Walking into Class Late
Let’s face it, we all have had (or will eventually have) that situation where we will walk into class late.
Whether it be the nearly impossible trek across campus to get to a class in 10minutes or hitting snooze a few too many times, it will happen. When that time comes, there is no “one size fits all” method to slipping in unnoticed. Instead, own it in your own way with the help of these tips:
Just walk through the door. Don’t stand out in the hallway fretting about what will happen, you’ll just be even more late and draw even more attention to yourself! Walk in as if you are right on time for class. AKA pretend that everything is fine!
Try to be as invisible as possible
I know this is the overall goal right? But what I really mean by invisible is don’t disrupt class or draw attention to yourself. Don’t start waving at your friends who saved you a seat or chattering away with everyone you pass.
Be a man (or woman) on a mission
Your mission, if you choose to accept it: Lock eyes on an open seat. Get there fast. This message will now self destruct.
Be ready to face the consequences
Maybe they took attendance at the start of class. Maybe there was a quiz. Maybe there are no make ups. Be ready to accept that or at least explain yourself to the professor if you try to get some points!
Good luck, Cyclones!
