Fast and Easy Foods

Do you ever see those videos on Facebook or Twitter of all of those delicious foods and how to make them?

If you’re like me, you see those videos and think to yourself, wow I really want to make that, but then never actually do. Well I have exciting news for you, I actually made some of these delicious looking foods and am going to show you the best and easiest ones to make, whether you’re in the dorms or in an apartment or house, these recipes should be pretty doable.

Macaroni in a Mug

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Macaroni noodles
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Splash of milk
  • 1/4 cup of cheese (Velveeta or shredded – Velveeta works better in my opinion)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Pour Macaroni noodles and water into a mug (Optional: add salt) and stir together
  2. Microwave for about 7 minutes or until noodles are cooked
  3. Remove from microwave and stir
  4. Add milk and cheese (Optional: add pepper) and stir together
  5. Microwave for 30 seconds or until cheese is melted
  6. Stir together and enjoy!

Hot Ham and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • Any type of bread product (I used a bagel this time)
  • Ham
  • Cheese

Instructions

  1. Toast bagel, or bread item in toaster
  2. Add ham and cheese
  3. Heat up in microwave for about 20 seconds or until meat and cheese is warm
  4. Optional: You can add any condiments like mayo or mustard

 2 Minute Quesadilla

Ingredients:

  • 1 or 2 Tortillas
  • Shredded cheese
  • Optional: Meat, veggies, sour cream, salsa

Instructions:

  1. Microwave chicken and other optional ingredients for about 30 seconds, stir, and microwave for and additional 15 seconds
  2. Add cheese (and other optional ingredients) evenly on the tortilla
  3. Microwave the whole thing for about 30 seconds or until cheese is melted

10 Minute Baked Potato

Ingredients:

  • Russet potato
  • Shredded cheese
  • Sour Cream
  • Optional: 2 slices of Bacon

Instructions:

  1. Use fork to poke holes into potato 5-6 times
  2. Place potato and bacon on plate and microwave for about 7 minutes. (It’s done when you can easily put your fork through it.)
  3. Crush bacon
  4. Cut open potato and add shredded cheese, sour cream, and bacon
